A well-designed affiliate program is one that is aligned with your business goals, community culture and values. This will impact who you invite as affiliates, prizes and commissions, even down to the software to use.
The more affiliates you have, the more revenues you can expect. We help you identify, find and invite affiliates like clockwork with our proven processes, scripts and templates.
Affiliates are busy. This step is making it as easy for affiliates to promote, while making them feel excited and well supported in promoting your program.
Come launch time, we create an environment that affiliates are going ALL-IN to promote you and your program. Some even say they promoted more than anything they have in their life!
After the launch we deploy ninja-tactics to retain affiliates for the next launch while helping them be able to refer more in the next launch.
Promoting with affiliates scales positively: the more affiliates you have, the higher your reach and sales per affiliate. (It is unlike online ads where eventually the more you spend, the less the return on ad spend).
Expenses in affiliate marketing happen after affiliates have already made the sales. This reduces a lot of your financial risks that normally come with other marketing initiatives.
Affiliates can attract like-minded clients regardless of age, race, and background. You don't need to limit yourself nor have to guess the best audience to 'target'. Affiliates will do that for you!
Referrals are the most-trusted form of marketing. As a result, affiliate traffic converts 2-3x better on landing and sales pages.
Affiliates naturally support those who they refer. This naturally strengthens your community and improves the client experience. If your goal is to build a movement, affiliates are a key piece!
Happy affiliates are magnetic. They attract more affiliates, and more customers for your business. Just one successful launch will always lead to a bigger one the following year.
How does affiliate marketing work again?
Affiliate marketing is a revenue source where a business partners with 'affiliates' to promote their business, in exchange for a commission.
A unique proposition of partnering with affiliates is that a business only needs to pay the affiliate for successful sales.
It is a win for the business owner because it removes financial risk in other advertising models.
It is also a win for the affiliate because they get compensated based on performance. So if they refer a lot, they also earn more.
When is the best time to consider getting affiliates?
The best time to start growing with affiliates is when you have a proven product and a proven offer.
To quantify this, a proven product is having at least 50 students in the past, and 10 success stories from your program.
Meanwhile a proven offer is one where out of 100 people in your audience, at least 3 people will buy thru your marketing funnel.
To clarify, there is no revenue requirement before you start scaling with affiliates. It doesn't matter whether you have generated 6, 7, 8, or 9 figures in the business.
But a good sign is when your existing customers already start referring their friends to you even without any incentives.
How are you able to track who referred the customer?
There are multiple ways to do this, ranging from FREE options to paid software.
The simplest way is via coupon codes which is common feature in online payment processors. This method of course doesn't scale as well when you already have hundreds of affiliates.
Another option is through your existing payment processor and checking if they have an affiliate tracking capability or plugin. Normally this is the option taken by clients first venturing into growing with affiliates.
The last and most expensive option is having custom-built software which I only recommend for those with an established affiliate program already.
In general, affiliate software is rarely an issue because we simply find add-ons that will complement what you're already using in your business.
Is there a wrong time to start with affiliates?
Affiliates amplify everything in your business. This means if you or your a majority of your clients are not satisfied with either the program, service or any part of the business, then affiliates will only magnify that dissatisfaction.
I recommend you must be at a level where you KNOW 100% that you have a proven product and an offer that works.
Again, the best test for this is if you already have existing customers who happily refer to you even without an incentive.
How much is the usual commission rate for affiliates?
This highly depends on your business model and market. It can range anywhere from 5% all the way to 100%. Some benchmarks are:
- Online Courses without coaching: 40 - 100%
- Recurring Membership programs: 10 - 40%
- High Ticket Coaching programs: 5 - 25%
With interested clients, this is normally during the 1st initial meeting, along with the other elements of affiliate program design.
How can you help me start with affiliates?
The best first step is let's chat!
There is no 'one-size fits all' when it comes to affiliate programs. So as we talk, I'll learn more about your business and industry, then come up an initial affiliate program design (or audit if there's an existing one), including my recommendations.
Depending on what's next, you can leave with a game plan on how to get started with affiliates or how to improve your existing program.
Or we can end up working together if we have a good fit.
Note: Don't hesitate to reach out because just because we're an affiliate management company doesn't mean we'll always recommend it. We only recommend getting started with affiliates when your business is ready for it.
"The Affiliates were Thankful That They Were Promoting!"
There was no 'icky' feeling you get when promoting something. They were out there saying na 'I like this program, I'll promote it, walang pake if I get nasty comments. I'll promote because I believe in this!" That was priceless for me.
